Collaboration Suite:

	Oracle Collaboration Suite was launched in October 2002. Running on Oracle Database and Oracle Application Server, Oracle Collaboration Suite is an integrated suite of applications that includes email, voice mail, fax organisation, calendaring, real-time conferencing, file management and workflow.

The software features single log-in, universal search, virus protection and wireless support. Oracle Collaboration Suite is pitched in direct competition with Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes-based collaboration solutions. However, it has the distinct advantage of being based on the scalable, resilient and secure architectures of Oracle Database and Oracle Application Server.

Oracle Collaboration Suite can be deployed as licensed software, managed applications (servers and data located at customer's datacentre but managed by Oracle) or outsourced (Oracle houses and manages the servers and data).
