Oracle and Microsoft to interconnect Oracle Cloud and Azure

Oracle and Microsoft have announced a partnership whereby customers can seamlessly connect Azure services to Oracle Cloud services.

“Enabling customers to run one part of a workload within Azure and another part of the same workload within the Oracle Cloud… delivers a highly optimized, best-of-both-clouds experience”, according to Oracle.

It is hoped that the new interoperability will make cloud migrations easier, and it supports new possibilities like running Oracle E-Business Suite on Azure against an Oracle Autonomous Database running on Exadata in the Oracle Cloud.
