Oracle has paid an unnamed sum, thought to be over $200 million, to rename the San Francisco Giants’ stadium to Oracle Park for 20 years.
The Major League Baseball stadium had been known as AT&T Park, but the new deal means AT&T will terminate their agreement a year early. As part of the deal, Oracle will work with Giants to improve the stadium over the next five years, including the construction of a new scoreboard and the use of “emerging technologies to create unique experiences for fans”.
