On Christmas Day 25, 14 year old Hamish Henderson attempted to complete the Weymouth & Portland Lions Harbour swim to raise money for Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome UK (SADS UK). Unfortunately high winds played havoc on festive swims in the West Country so it was too dangerous to take part. Hamish persevered and was able to complete his swim on a very cold but calm 3rd January. We are extremely proud to sponsor Hamish and help him spread the word about SADS. To date he has raised over £1.7k!
SADS UK is a cardiac charity working to save lives. This charity is dedicated to raising awareness, campaigning for change, and providing life-saving defibrillators and training in schools and communities. Their work has been pivotal in funding research and influencing Department of Health policies that have undoubtedly saved lives. SADS UK also offers support to those affected by sudden cardiac death, survivors of cardiac arrests, and individuals diagnosed with heart rhythm conditions.
