Oracle OpenWorld 2018 – CEO Hurd Gives Predictions

Oracle CEO Mark Hurd’s OpenWorld keynote speech included his predictions for the future.

Hurd first said “All cloud apps will include AI” by 2025, and both blockchain and AI will be “directly integrated into the applications themselves”.

Hurd’s next prediction was that, by 2025, “85% of interactions with customers will be automated… You won’t have to deal with the, ‘who are you again? What’s your problem?'”.

Finally, Hurd said that “60% of the IT jobs by 2025 have not been invented yet”. Hurd also suggested that “DBAs may be disintermediated” but that this will “free up people to work on higher order tasks…for example, robot supervisor”.
