Redgate buys SQL Manager from SysKit

Redgate Software has acquired SQL Manager, a data discovery and classification tool, from SysKit to add to its portfolio of SQL Server tools.

According to Redgate, “SQL Manager is already making headway in the [data privacy] market and its data classification functionality will be developed further before the newly renamed SQL Estate Manager is released in early 2018 as part of a complete data privacy and protection solution”.

In a related move, Redgate Investments has made a significant investment in SysKit, the developers of SQL Manager and also solutions for SharePoint, Office 365 and Citrix.
