Who we are
Oracle, SQL Server and IFS specialists since 1996.
Pro DBA was founded in 1996 on a clear goal: databases were becoming central to how organisations worked, and the people trusted to manage them needed to know exactly what they were doing.
Over the past thirty years, we have supported organisations across finance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, logistics and the public sector through growing data volumes, tighter regulation, cloud adoption, remote operations and major platform changes.
Today, we remain a privately owned specialist, with in-house teams in London and Edinburgh providing management, consultancy and 24/7 support across Oracle, SQL Server and IFS.

"It's simple. I sleep better at night knowing PRO-DBA is watching my database."
Our focus
Good support starts before a problem.
Our focus is deliberately narrow: Oracle, SQL Server and IFS. These systems sit beneath critical operations, and surface-level knowledge is not enough.
We take the time to understand each environment, what is happening underneath it and where the real risks sit. That allows us to prevent issues where possible, respond properly when something goes wrong and give clients advice they can act on.
Why Pro DBA
Why organisations trust us with their systems.
Database support breaks down when knowledge and ownership are fragmented. Our operating model keeps both close.
Direct technical access
Clients can reach the specialists responsible for investigating and resolving the issue, without unnecessary layers in between.
An in-house UK team
Monitoring, out-of-hours cover and technical delivery are handled by our own UK teams. We do not outsource responsibility for client systems.
Clear ownership
Responsibilities, priorities, escalation routes and change controls are agreed before the work begins.
Custom Support
From planned consultancy to continual monitoring and 24/7 incident response, the service fits the system’s business impact.
What guides us
The standards we work by.
Clear principles matter when you are trusted with systems a business depends on.
Reliability
Our clients rely on systems that need to stay available. We meet our commitments, work to agreed SLAs and provide 24/7 support when an issue cannot wait.
Integrity
We are honest about what we find and clear about what needs to happen next. Our advice is based on what is right for the client, not what creates more work for us.
Ownership
We take responsibility from the first response through to resolution. Support stays with our permanent, in-house teams, so accountability is never passed to a third party.
