Time-sensitive price data needed to be shared across regions

A market and price data provider needed employees in different regions to work from the same commodity data without reducing database performance.

The solution needed three replicated databases, with one located in the USA and two in the EU. Two databases would run in the cloud, while the third would remain on-premises.

A three-way multimaster design connected every site

Pro DBA designed and implemented a three-way multimaster system using Oracle Advanced Replication on Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.

Tables were arranged into multiple replication groups to reduce delays and improve throughput. Conflict resolution procedures were also configured for every replicated object to prevent inconsistent data between locations.

Changes now reach every site in under a minute

The completed solution replicates changes across all three sites in less than one minute.

This improved performance for teams in each region while reducing data conflicts. Pro DBA continues to support the replicated estate on a 24/7 basis.
