A looming IFS go-live created an urgent requirement

A construction company needed IFS database clones and refreshes ahead of an approaching IFS Applications go-live.

Pro DBA agreed the scope, process and engagement terms during a same-day meeting. The required compliance agreements were also completed quickly so work could begin without delay.

The refresh process was made repeatable

Pro DBA fully scripted the live-to-test database refresh process so the client’s team could run future clones with minimal technical knowledge.

The process accounted for Oracle Data Guard on both live and test databases, including the standby rebuilds required after each clone. Pro DBA also completed health checks across the primary and standby databases and explained configuration issues with recommendations for resolution and monitoring.

Urgent project work led to ongoing IFS support

The scripted process was tested thoroughly and handed over with clear documentation. Pro DBA’s Oracle and IFS consultants remained available after handover to answer questions and support the solution.

The client later asked Pro DBA to run further clones and patch its environments to the latest IFS release. The original ad hoc assignment then led to an IFS support contract covering five environments.
