Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking statement
Modern slavery is an international crime affecting millions around the world. Victims include those coerced into forced labour, harmful child labour, and those subjected to human trafficking. The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires commercial organisations supplying goods or services with a turnover above £36 million to prepare and publish and annual statement.
Though Pro DBA is not required by UK law to issue a statement, we do so to illustrate our commitment to meeting the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and related government guidance.
Our policy is to take all available steps to ensure that modern slavery does not occur in our business or supply chains. To do so:
- We have created a Modern Slavery Act policy
- We have taken steps to ensure that our directors and employees are aware of the risks and have the tools to tackle these
- We have reflected our anti-slavery policies in our procurement process, and conduct due diligence on suppliers
- We ensure that all staff are fully vetted to guarantee their suitability to work for Pro DBA
- We ensure that all staff have access to a confidential whistleblowing facility and are aware of this
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes Pro DBA’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ended 31st July 2019. The statement has been approved by the board of directors at Pro DBA Limited.
