Defence Organisation – Managed IFS Solution
When a Ministry of Defence contractor needed their IFS Applications ERP implementation supported 24/7 by UK-based EU nationals, Pro DBA worked with IFS UK to deliver a perfect-fit solution.
The Delivered Solution
Microsoft’s Azure public cloud platform was selected to host our client’s IFS Applications solution. IFS UK worked with our client to fine-tune their requirements, then proposed a solution based on Pro DBA’s 24/7 Oracle Database and IFS Applications support packages. Pro DBA also provides Azure and Windows management to this client, with IFS’s own product support contributing to form a complete support solution.
Managed IFS Applications Support
Our IFS Applications Support solution includes IFS release management. Patches delivered by IFS are deployed to managed instances by our skilled IFS engineers within timescales agreed with the customer.
The service includes seamless integration with IFS product support, robust configuration control and fully documented deployment reports. Our full end-to-end database cloning and reconfiguration service is also included to keep instances up to date.
Compliance Covered
The client required all supporting staff to be UK-based EU nationals. Our support staff also needed to be security checked, a stipulation easily satisfied, as all Pro DBA support consultants are BPSS, DBS and credit-checked as standard.
Delivering the Goods
We work closely with IFS UK to deliver a fast and reliable service to this customer. Whether a critical release needs to be deployed across environments at short notice or a database issue requires attention, Pro DBA are always on hand to deliver.
